Ammo Rotational Wormer Paste for Horses
Ammo Rotational Wormer Paste for Horses
AMMO Rotational Wormer Paste for Horses is a palatable, broad-spectrum benzimidazole (BZ) anthelmintic with a wide safety margin. It is suitable for horses of all ages, including foals, yearlings, stallions and pregnant mares. AMMO is administered orally using the convenient dial-a-dose syringe.
Composition:
- Oxfendazole 185 g/kg
How AMMO Rotational Wormer Works:
This formulation contains oxfendazole, which disrupts the metabolic pathways of intestinal parasites. It also sterilises worm eggs within 24 hours of dosing, helping reduce pasture contamination and reinfection pressure. AMMO is an ideal option to use as part of a rotational worming program to help manage resistance.
All horses should be part of a regular parasite control program, with special attention given to mares, foals and yearlings.
Key Benefits:
- Broad-spectrum benzimidazole wormer.
- Wide safety margin for horses of all ages.
- Sterilises worm eggs within 24 hours to reduce environmental contamination.
- Suitable as a rotational wormer to help manage resistance.
- Easy oral administration via syringe.
Dosage and Administration:
Dose orally according to bodyweight by adjusting the plunger ring to the appropriate weight setting on the syringe.
Warnings:
Export Slaughter Interval (Horses): Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Usage Notes:
A year-round worming program varies depending on climate and stocking density. In general:
- Worm all horses every 6–8 weeks, beginning at approximately 6 weeks of age.
- New horses arriving on the property should be wormed immediately and kept away from frequently used paddocks for several days to reduce contamination.
Rotation Made Easy:
For effective parasite management, use AMMO (Red) Allwormer for one year and AMMO (Green) Rotational Wormer the following year. This provides 24 months of protection.
Note: During the green rotational year, two additional treatments with AMMO (Red) are required—in Autumn and Spring—for bot and tapeworm control.
Size:
32.6 g adjustable dose paste syringe.

One 32.6 g syringe treats up to 600 kg bodyweight.
